Story Summary

The episode begins with the Simpson family deciding to stay home and watch movies instead of going to the cinema. Marge becomes frustrated with the endless advertisements on streaming services and decides to bring out her old DVD collection. While watching a popular 1990s teen drama together, Lisa discovers Marge's old clothes stored in the attic.

Marge suggests that Lisa wear one of her vintage outfits to school. To Lisa's surprise, her classmates love the retro fashion, and she quickly catches the attention of Springfield Elementary's elite Fashion Club, led by trendy students Devin and Vidalia.

As Lisa becomes more popular, she starts wearing more of Marge's old clothes every day. Soon, the Fashion Club wants even more vintage outfits, but thrift stores are too expensive. Instead, they begin searching through the closets of other mothers in Springfield for old-fashioned clothing.

Things take a darker turn when Lisa's new friends start secretly stealing vintage clothes from neighborhood homes. At first Lisa hesitates, but she eventually joins their plan, believing they are only borrowing forgotten clothes.

Meanwhile, Marge becomes suspicious after discovering her favorite vintage outfit has been cut apart to create a modern fashion design. Hurt by Lisa's behavior, she takes back all of her old clothes and confronts her daughter about respecting other people's belongings.

The Fashion Club later organizes a larger theft while many parents are attending a school event. Their plan begins to fall apart when alarms are triggered, and Lisa finds herself trapped inside a house. Marge arrives just in time to rescue her before the police arrive.

Realizing she made a serious mistake, Lisa apologizes to Marge for letting popularity influence her decisions. Marge forgives her, and together they ensure that all of the stolen clothes are returned to their rightful owners. By the end of the episode, Lisa learns that true style comes from creativity and confidence—not from stealing or following the crowd.
